The LJSP is inspired by some incredible projects happening locally, across Turtle Island, and the world.

Sankofa Maroon Village is a physical and metaphysical space for African descended folk to rebuild healthy, ROOTED, sustainable community. SMV provides opportunities to deepen our connections to nature, to each other and to our diverse African and Afrosporic cultural traditions and ancestors.

Toronto Black Farmers started as a small group of passionate farmers dedicated to providing affordable, clean food to our community. Their mission is to promote food justice and improve access to healthy nutrition.

One of the goals of Tierra Magia is to promote ways of living in harmony with nature through experiential, interactive education, learning by doing, and focusing on the tools provided by permaculture, natural building, regenerative agriculture, and inner work within a community.
